(You will need a Chocolate Fondue Set, bamboo skewers and maybe some adult help for this recipe.)

Ingredients (Serves 4):

  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Good quality dark chocolate for melting in the Fondue
  • Fresh Fruit to Dip

Method:

Remove a thick slice of ice cream from a tub and chop into rough pieces. Place in one layer on a baking sheet and re-freeze until solid. Melt chocolate in a fondue or fountain, chop some fruit (bananas and strawberries work well) remove ice cream from freezer and skewer along with a piece of fruit. Dip quickly into the melted chocolate and eat immediately.

Ingredients (Serves 4):

  • Strawberry Syrup
  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Meringue Nests (roughly broken)
  • Punnet of Fresh Strawberries
  • 4 Wafers

Method:

In a tall sundae dish or glass add a dash of strawberry syrup, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, then add a few pieces of broken meringue and some chopped fresh strawberries.

Top with another scoop of vanilla and finish with a whole strawberry and a wafer.

Ingredients :

  • One scoop of your favourite ice cream (per person)
  • One ice cream cone (per person)
  • Assorted sweets for face, e.g. smarties, jelly beans etc
  • (Optional) squirty cream
  • (Optional) chocolate sauce

Method:

Put a scoop of your favourite flavour ice cream on a small plate or saucer, pop a cone on the top to make his hat and use sweets to give him a face.

 

You could add a squirt of chocolate sauce to give him hair, or try using squirty cream around the ice cream to give him a 'ruff' collar.
